WuYuan Baowu Hotel + Arcade

Architectural and Interior Design for a 300 room 4-star hotel and shopping arcade on a 50-hectare site along the river bank of WuYuan, which is at the northeast of JiangXi, China. The design of the complex seeks to create a modern reinterpretation of the traditional Hui Style architecture depicted in the region, while also serving as a new social hub for the tourist-oriented city – nicknamed “The most beautiful countryside in China”.
The hotel’s façade features a striking white texture paint finish, contrasted by grey trimmed balconies and charcoal grey tiled roofs. The use of these materials and massing not only pays homage to the regional architectural style, but also creates a sleek and sophisticated appearance that is functional and modernistic.
